Biography

Caroline Durham began studying violin at age 4 with Elisabeth Christensen at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School in Boston, MA. When her family moved to Utah, she began studying with Deborah Moench, and then later received training from Eugene Watanabe. While a student of Eugene Watanabe, she attended the Conservatory program at the Gifted Music School and received lessons from Wei He (Juilliard), and Ian Swenson (San Francisco Conservatory). She has received awards from Utah Symphony Youth Guild, Music Teachers National Association, and Utah Music Teachers Association in both solo and ensemble performance. She has soloed with the Brigham Young University Symphony (2019) and the Utah Valley Symphony (2020). Caroline currently studies with Alex Woods at Brigham Young University as a Violin Performance major.
