Suzuki Early Childhood Music Classes

Suzuki Early Childhood Education Class - Open House

Come try a Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) class with your baby at the Gifted Music School!

We are holding two free open house classes, Thursday July 19th at 10:30am and Saturday August 11 at 10:30am.

SECE is a music and movement class for 0-3 year old children and their parents which uses the same teaching concepts and principles as the Suzuki Instrumental Music approach. Trained Suzuki early childhood teachers support the parents in creating a nurturing environment where ability can develop in very young children. The program uses high quality, authentic musical instruments, songs, rhymes, and activities to give every child the opportunity to learn from one another.

Based on seven key Suzuki method concepts:

  • Every Child Can Learn
  • Ability Develops Early
  • Environment Nurtures Growth
  • Children Learn from One Another
  • Success Breeds Success
  • Parental Involvement is Critical
  • Encouragement is Essential

The curriculum uses a rich collection of songs, rhymes, and activities designed to develop listening and language abilities, fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional regulation, musical skills, and math concepts. Teachers are Brecklyn Ferrin and Lisa Matsuda. If you have any questions, please email Brecklyn at bferrin@giftedmusicschool.org
