Aisha began her music studies violin with Doralee Madsen at the age of 5. She then made the switch to viola at age 11 and studied with the late Janet Anderson. She performed with the Premier Viola Ensemble under the direction of Betsy Stuen-Walker and traveled to Vancouver, Canada and was a part of the Scandinavian tour. She performed with and traveled to Europe with the Young Artist Chamber Players under the direction of Jack Ashton at age 15.  Aisha has studied with Roberta Zalkind, Claudia Bigelow, and David Dalton. She received her Bachelors Degree in Music, viola emphasis, from Brigham Young University. She toured and recorded with local artist Peter Brienholt. She serves on the Board of the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute as the Viola Chair. She is currently a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square and performs and records with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She teaches an all Viola Studio located in Holladay Utah and has recently started a Viola performing group "Viola Band". She has since completed Suzuki teacher trainings with Alan Lieb, Jeannne Grover and Betsy Stuen-Walker. She is married and has two little girls and loves swimming, biking and running.
