Distinguished Masterclass Series: Andres Cardenes, May 1-3, 2012. Come join us for an incredible learning experience with concert violinist, former concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and current professor at Carnegie Mellon University.
GMS Student Aubree Oliverson (age 13) performs with the Utah Symphony on May 15, 2012, 7pm at Abravel Hall. She will perform the entire Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto on the "All Star Evening" concert, conducted by Vladimir Kulenovic–GMS conductor AND Utah Symphony assistant conductor. Tickets available here.

March 10, 2012–Distinguished Masterclass Series. Mr. Lipsett gives a wonderful masterclass to GMS students and a packed audience.
March 8, 2012–Congratulations to GMS Students Aubree Oliverson (violin) and Anastasia Magomedova (piano) for their performance on NPR's From the Top! Anastasia also received the $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship. The show taped in Ogden, Utah will air in April, 2012.
February 27, 2012, school concerts at public elementary schools in Salt Lake City–the GMS Orchestra performs at 3 elementary schools and inspires hundreds of children.
February 19, 2012, Utah Symphony Youth Guild Piano Auditions. Congratulations to the GMS Piano team–David Horton and Anastasia Magomedova were selected to perform at the Youth Guild Recital along with Erika Hubbard (who is also violinist at GMS!). Honorable mentions were awarded to Sanne Christensen and Kana Yoshigi. Great work to all the students who participated.
Febraury 12, 2012 Utah Symphony Youth Guild String Auditions, Congratulations to GMS Students Karen Ferry, Erika Hubbard, and Andrew Yavornitzky for being selected for the Youth Guild Recital. Honorable mentions were awarded to Emily Richards and Rebecca Epperson. We are proud of EVERY student from our team that participated and worked so hard!

Congratulations to GMS Students Kana Yoshigi and Anastasia Magomedova for their performance with the Utah Symphony on their annual Salute to Youth concert.
They performed the Mozart Double Piano Concerto in September, 2011, and were conducted by Vladimir Kulenovic.
